Testimonials As Sales Tools

Please tell me how to use my companies testimonials as Sales Tools

    Hi vpstapleycvw,

    The most effective use is to post them on your website, email marketing or any/all other marketing material both online and offline.

    People will read them. They will be impressed. They may or may not contact the testimony giver.

    Make sure that you get permission from the testimony source to use their quote and give their name.

    Quite often it is better to ask permission, and then create your own testimony and show it to your source and ask them if it is O.K. to use them as an attribution source. This we you can say exactly what you want to say. This is completely ethical, as long as you get permission to do so and get them sign off as the source.

    In addition to straight printed or produced testimonials, can you get your customers to speak on your behalf? Exhibitions/workshops/roadshows etc provide a great opportunity for you to get your customers to talk/present on your behalf.

    Another similiar area I have found useful before is the use of financial testimonials in the sales process, it depends on the products/services you sell, but when I have managed to get these for clients and their sales team, there is an improvement in sales.

    Basically try to get a customers to say financially why they choose you/your products/services .. did you save them money? earn them money ? and get a detailed financial breakdown .. when they spend, what they made/saved.

    Its a powerful sales message
