    You don't give us much to work with here! Customer intimacy depends somewhat on what kind of business you are in and the state of your company. For instance, customer intimacy is different for B2B than B2C. Also, if you are a B2C, then do you have a CRM system in place?

    From a legal standpoint in the United States, from a "legal" standpoint, each state's laws are very similar. In terms of legislation, it's not the states that differ so much as the regional divisions within the states: Counties, towns, cities. Some places have implemented "Free Trade Zones" where companies are able to import and export materials without having to pay taxes. This is a way to encourage companies to move into areas that are depressed economically.
