Subscription Overview FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What's the difference between a course and a learning path?

A course is made up of lessons that cover a specific aspect of marketing and are based on one of the six MarketingProfs Campaign Framework elements. A learning path is a series of training courses designed to provide a 360-degree approach to campaign management. For example, our Content Marketing Campaign Learning Path covers every stage of campaign management: planning, creating assets, launching your campaign, and analyzing results.

Do I get a certificate, diploma, or something that shows I've completed the course?

We don't have diplomas (or mortarboards) (or virtual graduation ceremonies). But yes! When you complete a course you get a fancy-pants downloadable certificate of completion to show off your accomplishment to your boss, your colleagues, and your best friend.

  • How long do I have access to courses and learning paths?

When you upgrade to a PRO subscription, you'll have access to the courses and learning paths for the duration of your subscription. We do take down training materials as they become outdated, but we'll alert you ahead of time, so you have a chance to re-watch before the course disappears.

Do I need to complete each course in one sitting?

Nope. Start and stop whenever you like. Watch them all at once or watch one lesson at a time if that's how you can work learning into your schedule. Once you've started a course you can check your progress on your learner dashboard and pick up where you left off at any time.

  • Mobile... yea or nay?

Absolutely. We're busy people, too, so we love learning on the go. Because we use HTML5 video format, all of our courses are viewable on iOS and Android devices—no extra app needed.

    How long is a subscription?

You have two individual subscription options (because variety is the spice of life): quarterly and yearly. All team subscriptions are a full year.

  • I'm not sure I want to buy yet. Can I get a trial?

Sure thing. We offer three-day trials on our individual plans, you just need to provide a valid credit card when you sign up. If you decide you're just not that into us, cancel at any time during your trial and we won't charge your card (though we may cry a little). If you decide PRO's the path for you, you don't need to do anything; your card will be charged automatically when your trial is up. (Sorry, trials aren't available if you're purchasing on invoice.)

Can I share my subscription with my colleagues?

No. Only one person can access each PRO subscription you buy. Ordinarily, sharing's a good thing, but sharing MarketingProfs accounts and courses would undermine your learning experience. We build our training courses on a learning management platform that tracks your individual progress through each lesson, building a learner dashboard exclusively for you. If you think your coworkers or employees can benefit from what you're learning, consider purchasing a PRO Team subscription—discounts start at just three people!

  • Um, the "MarketingProfs Campaign Framework?"

Strategy, Plan, Create, Communicate, Analyze, and Management. It's not abstract, ivory tower theory—it's what campaign marketers do every day. MarketingProfs Campaign Framework helps you master these six elements, so you can replace guesswork with informed decisions and gain a competitive advantage. (And maybe even snag a promotion!)

    What's a Practice Run?

Our courses don't end with just a quiz, like your run-of-the-mill training. The end of each MarketingProfs course includes a Practice Run in which you take what you've learned and apply it to your next marketing campaign. In other words, it gives you the chance to put your newfound knowledge to work in a real-world setting and gets you using what you've learned before you even close your browser.

  • If I buy a course, how long do I have access to the lessons?

If you purchase this course individually—or as part of a learning path—you'll have access as long as the course is active. We do take down training materials as they become outdated, but we'll alert you ahead of time, so you have a chance to re-watch before the course disappears. • Do I need to complete this learning path in one sitting?

No way... that would be a long day! Watch one course or even one lesson at a time if that's how you can work it into your schedule. You can even take the courses in any order you choose, so you can jump into what you need to know for a special project you're working on right now. Virtual Conference FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What's the difference between a Friday Forum and a webinar?

Our Friday Forums are like three-hour mini-conferences in an online environment, each including three sessions with a running chat throughout the presentation, a resource library (like a pop-up bookstore, only everything's free), and spaces to meet with the event sponsor and team MarketingProfs. It's kind of like registering for three webinars in one... with extras. While MarketingProfs Friday Forums are each organized around a single aspect of marketing—for instance a topic, a framework element, or a business type—each session addresses that theme with a unique subject, voice, and perspective. Also, while each event is sponsored, MarketingProfs curates the content to ensure quality (with the exception of sponsor demos or presentations).

You say your Friday Forums are free, but are they really?

Put your wallet away... our Friday Forums really are free. That's right: go ahead and get giddy with excitement. So long as you're a MarketingProfs subscriber (yes: even a free subscriber), all of our Friday Forums are free—upcoming events and on-demand events within 90 days of the event date. But you do need to register to attend; our Friday Forums are made free in part by sponsor support, so we're obligated to provide them with registrant info in exchange for that (you're a marketer; you know how this works). Part of registering is acknowledging that you understand your data will be shared with them and that we've been transparent about this.

  • I can't attend the day of the event, but I'd still like to watch the sessions. Will it be recorded?

Of course! Work (and life) sometimes just gets in the way, but that doesn't have to be the case with a MarketingProfs Friday Forum because we make the recordings available on-demand for 90 days after the live event date. Register today so you don't forget, and we'll send you a reminder when the sessions are ready to (re)watch.

I'm ready to learn! But... how do I join in?

On the day of the live event or during the 90-day on-demand period, you can select the "Watch" button from the Friday Forum description page. Be sure that you're signed in with the email address you used when registering. Alternatively, you can jump in straight from your Learner Dashboard—look for it listed in the "My Events" list. Once you enter the Friday Forum environment, scroll down to "Sessions" to watch the presentations and download slides. You can check out articles, e-books, and videos by choosing "Resources."

Webinar FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How much does it cost to register for a webinar?

Zilch. Zero. Nada. So long as you're a MarketingProfs subscriber (yes: even a free subscriber), all of our webinars are free—upcoming live events and our full library of on-demand webinars that were previously only available to PRO. But you do need to register to attend.

But if this webinar is now free, why do I have to register?

Our webinars may be free, but they're only available to subscribers. For upcoming events, we need to keep tabs on the number of people to expect on broadcast day because seating is limited. Plus, if a webinar is sponsored we're obligated to provide them with registrant info—and we need you to acknowledge that you understand this is a condition of registering (we like to keep things transparent, after all).

  • The live webinar is starting soon. How do I get connected?

If you've already registered for the webinar and you're signed into the site, select the "Watch" button from the webinar description page. Or, you can play it from your Learner Dashboard... all of the webinars you're registered for will be listed in the "My Events" list. The presentation will launch in a separate browser tab. MarketingProfs webinars are presented in Zoom.

What if I miss the live webinar?

No problem; we've got you covered. Learning doesn't take place in one place at one time, and while we only broadcast our webinars live once, we record all of them so you can watch later... whenever you want from wherever you are (provided you've got a solid Internet connection). Register now and we'll send you a note when it's available on-demand.

Reports and Guides FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • This report is free, so why do I have to register to download it?

Our e-books, reports, and guides are available only to subscribers; if you're not already a subscriber, you will become one when you register to download our content. If you're already a subscriber and you're signed into the site, the download form will prepopulate with any data we have on file for you; that makes registering a perfect opportunity for you to update anything that's incorrect. Finally, if the report or guide is sponsored, we're obligated to provide registrant info to that sponsor—that's a condition of theirs for sharing their content with you, and we need you to acknowledge that you understand this.

I saw an email about a guide a couple of weeks ago. It sounded so good! But now I can't find it on the website. What gives?

Some of our reports, guides, and e-books are provided by sponsors. We make only a limited quantity available, and only for a limited time. After that, they disappear from the site. Moral of the story? If you see something that looks good, download it right away... you might not have a chance to do so later.
