What if Ebenezer Scrooge had been a marketer? Inspired by the holiday season, I illustrated a glimpse into Scrooge's life as a marketer---his past, present, and future.
His past as a marketer would be filled with email blasts, faxing, and broadcast messsages. His present would be building social networks---something Scrooge would hate. (All that listening and caring about customers? Bah, humbug!) And his future, if he continued to ignore the building of customer relationships and sharing, would involve saying goodbye to his beloved business...
Fortunately, Ebenezer did change. And folks later said that he learned how to keep customer relationships in his heart---the whole year through.
