Nearly half (47%) of B2B buyers say they now use AI tools frequently when researching software vendors, according to recent research from Software Finder.

The report was based on data from a survey conducted in March 2026 among 714 B2B software buyers.

Some 68% of respondents say AI has introduced them to software vendors they would not have found otherwise, and 18% say AI has become the most influential source for building a vendor shortlist.

Some 58% of B2B buyers say they changed or reconsidered a software vendor after AI surfaced new information during the evaluation process.

A third of buyers say they use AI to generate side-by-side comparisons during software evaluations.

Some 53% of B2B software buyers say that their trust in AI-generated vendor recommendations has increased over the past 12 months.
