Most North American marketers say AI-powered tools could significantly accelerate their firm's marketing growth, according to recent research from GrowthLoop and Ascend2.

The report was based on data from a survey conducted in April 2025 among 309 marketing professionals in Canada and the United States with titles of manager or strategist and above.

Some 89% of respondents say AI-powered technologies could accelerate their marketing growth, with nearly three-quarters (74%) saying they expect these tools could accelerate growth by more than 10%.

Marketers say AI can deliver benefits across a range of common marketing bottlenecks, including data and analytics, campaign development, and audience segmentation.

Some 46% of marketers say AI should be allowed to make some low-risk decisions but that humans should approve these choices and make major decisions.

Marketers say the top area where their team would most benefit from having AI expertise in the next 12 months is turning data into real-time insights and predictions.
