Nearly one-fourth of employees say they now use AI daily for creating workplace emails, according to recent research from ZeroBounce.

The report was based on data from a survey of 750 employees and 250 managers.

Some 24% of employees say they use AI to draft or edit workplace emails all the time or daily, 21% say they use AI often, 24% say rarely, and 20% say never.

More than one-third (35%) of employees say they have used AI to draft a sensitive workplace communication.

Some 26% of employees suspect they've received a performance review message written by AI.

Employees say the top indicators that an email has been written by AI are that the language is too formal or robotic (59% say so) and the word choice feels unnatural (50%).

Some 41% of managers say they have used AI to draft a performance review message, and 24% say they have used AI to draft a performance warning message.
