Among Monetate's suggestions:

Avoid batch and blast. Your customers aren't all the same, so why send everyone the same email? Segmented email campaigns produce a much higher click-through rate than undifferentiated messages.

Use similar creative and messaging on your landing page and throughout the user experience.

Understand how your customers view your emails. Do your customers prefer using tablets, mobiles, or desktop email clients? When you know how they read email, you can create messages that best suit their preferred devices.
