Private Christian School Tag Line Needed

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
We are rebranding our school looking for a brighter edgier feel for a traditional school. We offer traditional education in a non-traditional environment. The name of the school is Real Life Christian Academy with a logo that empasizes a stylized green tree. Think out of the box for a school. Fun. Quality academics. Personal attention. A phrase that is a surprise for a school is a plus. Ideas?

    Hi, slong,

I was going to offer a couple suggestions, but then I got to wondering whether any of them would do any good. So instead, here are some questions & thoughts to consider:

    * Who are you trying to reach with this new branding effort that isn't responding to your current branding effort? Is there a certain class of parent you want but don't have yet? You'll read over and over in this forum archive and elsewhere that if the marketing ain't broke, don't fix it! And certainly don't change "brands" just because school administrators are bored with the current one---What's more important than administrative perception is PUBLIC PERCEPTION, i.e., whether your current brand is resonating with community parents and generating the school attendance (and dollars) to meet defined goals.

    * What makes you think a "brighter, edgier" slogan will make inroads with your target market, all other things being equal? Is there more to this rebranding effort than a new tag line?

    * If your school hasn't done it yet, it would do well to hire a research firm to find out what makes members of this target market 'tick.' Survey results will help define the content or emotion to be addressed in your new slogan so that it is guaranteed to push the right buttons.

I know, I know--I haven't made any tagline suggestions. But I'm just trying to be helpful!

    Hi,
You mentioned you wanted to go a little out of the box so here are a few ideas:

When you have our Spirit, Learning and Fun walk a truly special path

Where School Spirit fills the entire student.

Spirit in Mind, Strength in Body, Trust in the Lord, Our School develops the entire student.

Where Learning and Fun Meet Spirit, Real Christian Academy providing for the total student.

Students, Faculty and Staff share school Spirit, and a lifetime of values.

Beyond Education, learning in life, walking with the Lord. A School for the Whole Student.

Hope these gives a little different perspective.

    Good Luck.

I think pghpromo has made some good suggestions. I made the assumption that you had been down some of these paths already- if not, consider doing so before making an abrupt change.

If you have already assessed the target market and have come to a decision about the positioning, then here are a few more suggestions:

"Giving young minds roots of faith and space to grow"
"Nurturing young sprouts for life in the real world"
"Real faith values; real life education"
"Training young sprouts in the way they should grow"
"Equipping young saints for life in the real world"

    Good luck and God bless!

Real Life learning at Real Life Christian Academy

    Real Life, Real Lessons, Really.
    Real Life Christian Academy

I also like the Proeditor's mentioned "Get Real" idea.

Get Real, Real Life Christian Academy.

The Whole Get Real campaign could focus on each area you want to highlight:

    Get Real, Education...
    Get Real, Christian values...
    Get Real, Comfortable Classrooms
Get Real, Teachers, people who care
    Get Real, Etc...
Just Get Real....Real Life Christian Academy
