Help With Tagline For Cooking School

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello all! I am opening up a small kitchen "studio" that is only about 500 sq. ft. The studio offers fun cooking classes for up to 8 people per class. It's a small, cozy setting where each person will experience hands on instruction. I will have classes for both adults and teens. There will be a vast array of classes, such as "Basic recipes everyone should know" or "How to fix up a fantastic meal from your pantry" vegetarian cuisine and Asian, French, Italian cuisine classes. My target market is young professionals, housewives, teens that have an interest in a future culinary career, and really just anyone that just wants to cook. The studio is situated in a work/live type neighborhood where the front of the house is commercial zoned (which is where the studio is) and the back is residential. It's a very family oriented, affluent community with many stay-at-home moms (also another target market). The name I have chosen is a play off of my own name, which is "T" - Most people just call me "T" and since I've been in the culinary industry, I have gone by the name "T". So, I thought the name Tspoons - a unique culinary experience might work. Tspoon being a unit of measure when cooking, seemed appropriate and it allows me to incorporate my name "T" (as opposed to spelling out the word Teaspoon). The logo will most likely be a T with part of the T being a drawing of a teaspoon and then the word "spoons" written in lower case, small cursive font at the bottom tip of the "T".

I'm not sure though if this is the right name and tag. I have to develop my advertising pieces next week and would greatly appreciate your thoughts and comments on the name: Tspoons - A unique culinary experience

I wish I could incorporate the word measure or something having to do with the fact that a teaspoon is a unit of measure when cooking into the tag line but this is all I have for now...Thank you!

    T Party or

    "A Unique Cooking Experience"

Follow this with specific info about the location, makeup of the class, etc along with Fees, and times, maybe a pic of the studio itself, all dependent on your marketing materials and how much space you have for your marketing message.

good luck, sounds like a blast, love to hear about those businesses starting up!

I love the "Tspoon" and when you have a logo made up it will bring it to life. Don't change it the name will speak for itself. And you can tag it with everything you do

    For example:

    Tspooliscious
    Tspoofun

You create fun with everything you do and will generate lots of chat

If it was simply trying new food, people could go to a restaurant and order a new dish. Likewise, if it's simply learning a recipe, they could open up a new recipe book and try it out.

You're offering your experience in knowing which recipes produce great results, tips to make things better, and a social experience all wrapped up in one.

Ah I like the "one recipe at a time" and yes that gives new inspiration for the "build your own recipe book" people will love that because it takes the burden off of them with trying to think of what to make for dinner and it encourages them to comeback because they are building something. Your school is giving them a sense of ownership and creating familiarity (excuse spelling) because most of us will cook the same thing because we know the recipe. Your school will be able to change that same "mundane" type cooking and give them the know how while meeting others.

I wish you could come to VA.....:) We only have a Dream Diners here and it's okay but I like your concept much better.
