Engineering Slogan - Red-eyed Tree Frog Is Mascot

Posted by online on 250 Points
My brother and his son have an engineering company.

Expertise in civil and environmental engineering projects ranging from EPA Compliance to Wastewater Treatment to New Subdivision Grading/Pond Retention.

Lots of stuff with dirt and water. :)

They want to use a red-eyed tree frog as their mascot.

I guess the red-eyed tree frog is fragile. It needs good engineering in a safe environment. Kind of like the canary in the coal mine.

I need a tagline that says something like
"engineering even the most fragile among us can trust".

But that's too long ....

Anyone have some ideas?

Thanks!!

P.S. I made a great graphic of a tree frog perched on a mechanical drawing compass.

    "Engineering At Its Best"
    "Trust Engineered & Sustained"
    "Engineering The Best Solutions"
    "We Define Engineering Better"
    "Building Trust,Efficiently"
    "Fragile Also Trusts Us"

I agree with Phil that the connection isn't all that clear (although I have heard news stories about frogs dying or being deformed because of possible pollution).

    However,

XYZ Engineering (or whatever the firm name is)
Good for people. Safe for frogs.

(Aside: If you're going to make the connection to a fragile animal, you need to show that your business deeply cares about the environment, otherwise it'll come across as yet another example of greenwashing.)

Instead of the frog, you could use nature's engineer (the beaver) as a mascot instead. It might make a stronger tie-in for your business/nature.

    A couple of ideas:
    * We Leave No Details To Chance
    * Minimizing Unintended Consequences

Wow. This is the best forum. I'm going to rethink the "fragile" frog part and ask a new question.

    Meanwhile:
Here's a link with images that might help explain.
    redesign - https://www.lougheedengineering.com/
    old site - https://www.lougheedengineering.com/index-2008.php

    Logos - https://www.lougheedengineering.com/branding.html

Here is the mess I'm trying to tie to together for them. And I don't think they really "get" branding and marketing. So I AM trying to get them to focus on one clear message (HELP!). :)

    See images here!

    1. S.O. Lockheed & Associates
    - the name my brother used in 1977
    2. Lockheed Engineering
    - the name my nephew and I are using for the web site.
    3. Civil and Environmental Engineering
    4. Brother's original logo - S.O. optical illusion
    5. Nephew - wants to use tree frog
    6. Brother likes the slogan -
Engineering that makes sense (get it CENTS) - and an owl. That's my fav - but for some reason hey can't agree to use that one.
