Slogan For National Sales Meeting

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hey everyone. We in the marketing department have been charged with coming up with a slogan for our National Sales Meeting to be held at Stone Mountain, GA this December. The meeting theme, if you will, is teamwork, or working together, etc. Sounds cliché, but it's what they want to go with.

I'd greatly appreciate your ideas for a slogan.

Thanks!

Regards,

Bob

First I want to thank you for using Stone Mountain Park. I live close to it and enjoy going there from time to time.

Second I hope we can find you a good slogan. We can not ahve you coming to our oura with a bad slogan (:-)

I am going to pull a slogan from my past as a meeting producer and see if it works now.

    "The Best Get Better Together"

With this said I suggest you pick a slogan that relates to "what you want the sales team to do when they go home". What is it you expect of them? I doubt that it is to be a team. Maybe it is better customer service, more consultative selling, increasing the value of existing customers and so on.

Put the emphasis on the outcome expected. Management must have more expectations than the elusive "better teamwork". For instance “The 20% Solution” Increase customer satisfaction by 20%, increase sales by 20%, increase profits by 20% and so on.

Another suggestion. When you do find the correct "expectation" create a campaign around it that lasts all year. You really can not expect a meeting to instill a concept and keep it alive after the meeting without reinforcement. I found that after a couple of weeks most people forgot about the slogan, concept and what it meant.
