New Company Name

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are an existing company that is looking to incorporate. We are in the business of providing DJ Services (disc jockey).

Our current name is Custom Sound. Upon trying to incorporate we were unable to secure this name without adding something before Custom Sound. I.E. _____ Custom Sound.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks for your time.

    Hi, Kevin-

I think Karen makes a great point about the use of the word "extreme." Also remember that it's a trendy word and you might not think it's as cool 5 years from now.

I have another concern, and that's about the use of "Custom Sound." Have you tested that at all to see what potential customers think "Custom Sound" means? I wonder if some would picture a musical instrument store, or a firm that provides backup band members, or an electronics store? If you do use "___ Custom Sound" I would strongly recommend a good tag line like "DJ services in tune with your style." You could adjust the tag line according to the musical genre that suits your target customers.

Ditto a lot of the above.

I like Xtreme too. I also like F/X ie custom sound fx or fx custom sound...

When new customers want to find your service where will they start to look - that is the word I would suggest.

IE if most of your business comes from weddings, I'd use Wedding Custom Sound or Bridal Custom sound.

If it is parties, you could consider Celebration(s) custom Sound.

If they find you as a DJ service, then use as mentioned above DJ custom Sound you could also have a handle as "DJ-CS"..

Good Luck - see my profile to email

    hey there,
the first thing that appear in my mind was you are dealing with cars speaker, amp or something like that.
Custom Sound for a dj services?
i wouldnt know unless i see you company profile, webpage for example...

have you ever think of changing the company name itself, and have a tagline with 'custom sound' in it. by doing this, your current client will know that it is still the old custom sound, and you may have a fresh appeal to new target.

for my opinion, a company name doesnt have to be link with the business you are doing, coz your logo will have a bigger impact to it. if i would to ask u,
'do u know what pepsi is?'
u wouldnt know its a cola drink because pepsi doesnt even have a link to cola...

    hope this will help...
    all the best.

    Hi Kevin

Having read through all the posts and excellent suggestions.....I think Xperience Custom Sound Inc calls the reader to 'action' although I agree about the complexity of search engines finding it.....but if you spread enough links it should be no problem.

I know this may sound overly simple

    But possibly

    The Custom Sound

Indicating the only, the first, the original, the one you want
