Name And Tagline For Landscape & Garden Consulting

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am trying to convince my husband to go out on his own. He has a landscape design degree, but doesn't want to sit behind a desk all day. He has worked as a landscaper for 8 years. My family loves to have him come over, tell them how to prepare the garden for winter, how/when/what to prune, identify plants, give suggestions on what would grow well where, etc. Not a design, but more of a consultant. I call it "garden walk throughs." I think he can charge a flat fee to do this for people who don't want to make a large investment in the yard and garden, but need someone to ask questions. Then he will also offer email and phone support to his customers if they have followup questions. He wants to call it JMF Garden & Landscape Consulting. I want something catchier. Any suggestions??

The "garden walk through" caught my eyes and ears when I saw and heard myself read it.

Not sure that will really help but I thought it was catchy.

    Have a great night!

Forget JMF. That's all about him, but unless he's well known (in which case he should use his whole name) it's otherwise meaningless to a prospect.

For the name to swiftly engage the prospect, it should explain something about what the service and benefit is.

    e.g.:
    The/Your Garden Guru
    Your Garden Guide
    The Backyard Prof
    Your Garden Advisor
    Your Garden Tutor/Tutorial

I which country is it proposed to start this business?

    Hope that helps.

Sounds like a great business idea. We ask my sister who has a landscaping business for advice all the time.
I like The Garden Guru or Garden Analyst. Another idea is The Garden Doctor or Gardener's Rx. He could put garden tips on his business card, a web site or flyer to entice customers.
    good luck.
