Tagline For Denim Branding

Posted by Anonymous on 75 Points
We are looking for a quick, catchy tagline to kick off a big denim push for our retail junior girls clothing store. We are starting off our big denim push with a flyer that will showcase each pair of denim coming up or in stores right now. Our CEO wants to really make our denim the focus of our store and somehow get across the fact that.....

We have the best premium denim at a non premium price.

How do we say that so it appeals to 17-22 year old girls though because obviously that tagline just isn't going to cut it.

    What brands are you selling?

I would say it needs to be pretty outragious, in a good way, for that age group.

I am not so sure it is a age line you are looking for but rather some creative theme you can apply accross a number of emials, ads or whatever. Pictures will make the biggest difference.

Since you have not really said what lines you sell and to what demographic (other than age) you sell to it is hard to come up with any suggestions.

i would like to look at what you have right now, but off the top of my head i have one thought about this demographic. This is the my generation so the world revolves around them, keeping up with the jones' and ease of use or comfort.

    My suggestions:

My Jeans. Made For Right For ME.

    My Jeans. The Right Fit

The Right Fit for My Jeans

    Shh...they're Vanity Jeans

    Got to Have it

    Wear it Right. Vanity Jeans.

Let me know if this helps! :)

Seems to me that focusing on the quality of the product is the best approach. When they believe your denim is as good as other premiums and you advertise your lower prices that idea will get across as a better value not just as a cheaper jean. As you know image is everything in the fashion world. A great pair of jeans at a low cost generates a certain amount of buzz.

Anyway I am not the best at created ad hoc slogans. To me it is a process, but some others on the forum may have some great input. One thing that did come to mind is
    Minnie
When Image is Everything or just Image is Everything

You probably should take several slogans and test them in ads to determine which your audience responds best to. The named Gilly, Rowan, America, Iris, Minnie, Meadow, Dakota seem very much Midwestern in nature. I would try to determine if the young women in the Midwest want to be like young women in the Midwest or like young women in LA, NY, Chicago, Atlanta and so on. If not you should get more “hip” names.
