Specialist Cheese Shop

Posted by chough on 500 Points
I am currently in the process of planning a new business venture – a cheese shop, specialising in artisan cheeses from around the British Isles, and continental Europe. (I'm based in England, UK).

The shop is intended to have an upmarket, boutique/artisan/specialist feel, and focus on great range, product knowledge, advice and customer service. (I feel there is a bit of a backlash against the rise of the giant supermarkets, and a gap in the market for small specialist shops).

So, finally getting to the point, I need a name for this venture, and possible a tagline… At this point any suggestions are welcome, from the serious/classy to the humorous and irreverent! If it comes with a tagline so much the better! (My current thinking is along the lines of "The Great British Cheesemonger" or "Great British and Continental Cheeses".

Any strategic/marketing/other advice from anybody who's ever been involved in anything similar is incredibly welcome!

BTW, Julia, I'm a BIG fan of Strathdon Blue! If this all comes off I hope to have a great Scottish cheese selection, as I think Scotland and Ireland make some of the the finest cheeses in Britain... (and I'm Scottish too). I'll keep you posted!
