Name For An Online Business School

Hi,
I'm about to launch in the second half of 2008 a Multilanguage E-learning Business School specializing in the areas of finance, economics and business.
I will like to get as many feedback as i can on the "Simanovski business e-school".
Is it sounds relieble name?
Is it better to make it Sinovski or Novski?
Or i Should go on a marketing name like iMAXlearning.com?
Please give me as much feedback as you can.

    I do not see any real differences between the names, they ring no bell for me.
    I do not think you can count on reliability basing on an uknown name. You have to build your brand and it takes time and money.

    The name of an unknown person doesn't matter.
    The name of a famous person, who stands for something, matters a lot!
    But the question is why are you connecting a name of a famous guy in the finance world to a school? did he donate money to the school? is he like Recanati, who gave money to the Tel-Aviv University?
    Is he also known to be a great academic personality? is he a famous teacher?
    With all due respect, it seems that the "branding company" you are using is not giving you any good advice on branding.
    Come to my branding class at the University of Chicago, and I'll have the time to prove to you why.

    Omer, You would know best if "Simanovsky" has equity in your market. All things being equal, a name with equity (people have a high regard for...) will give your new enterprise instant recognition and through the halo effect will transfer some of "Simanovsky equity" to the new enterprise....there may be some downsides:'
    - if someone else with the same name does something really bad, you also get the 'fall out' from this
    - will people expect to be able to see and meet Simanovsky?....willthat be posible
    - 10 or 20 years from now, will the name still be as attractive...hope this helps, dennis

    Pls next time take the effort and trouble to look at the profile before you ask your question as in the case of Ilan.
    Getting back to your question I do honestly believe that your name should not come first amongst your worries about branding.
    What is your objective? Is it to effectively teach students finance and business by e-learning? If so who stands behind you, who are the teachers? What professional competence do they have? Do they teach school in renowned real-life universities? What are the facts you can give you prospective students? What's the curriculum and how it compares to regular studies?
    Who is it for? Is it accredited with any well-known educational institution in Isreal?
    Tell me why should I encourage my son to attend your classes? What's so special about it?

    How is this school looked at in the world of academia? Will it be looked at as credible source of education to employers?

    Will people be proud of graduates of Simanovski? Or will it be like a University of Phoenix here in the states?

    Put it this way...if you attended this e-business school could you use it as leverage in an interview while trying to get a job and competing against one of your peers who went to a "real" institution?

    If the answer is "yes" then I would go with one of "Non-Profit's" suggestions or a variation there of.

    If the answer is "no" then I would go with iMAXlearning.com and try and refocus your branding efforts to something more of a tutoring type school or academic reinforcement program. This would be much more credible and easier to make a name for yourself.

    Any e-school in my mind has no credibility what-so-ever and are looked at as a joke to many employers. I hope this helps and good luck...

    Like Adam (above), I remind my clients that a name (and tagline) are generally the last pieces of the marketing puzzle they need to complete.

    First off: a marketing strategy. Omer, let's say you've picked a name that you (and all your colleagues) love. Now what? Who are you trying to attract? What does your e-school offer that they can't learn elsewhere? Why should your students trust that the education they get from you is top-notch?

    Is Simanovski a great name to use for your school? Survey your prospective students, comparing it to a couple of other random ethnic-sounding names. Also compare it to other "official" sounding names.

    How come I can answer the questions referring to your business concept? No way for me to do it.
    If you know the answers then you are closer to what your branding should be.
