Realtor Looking For Tagline To Use On A Frisbee

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am a c21 realtor and have as my tag line "helping you make the right move" I am focused on urban and historic homes and condos.

I will have my convertible in a parade and will "tossing" out the frisbees at the festival.

I am torn on consistency .. just using my normal tag line or if i should have a variation that plays off the Frisbee and if so what it should be. Thoughts?

There are very few realtors making any money in this industry right now, but the few who are are focusing on foreclosures. I read an article in the WSJ yesterday that was talking about one Realtor who has actually started foreclosure buss tours. I don't know that I have a slogan, but I would definitely recommend you take this approach into consideration.

    Consistency is marketability!

Stick to something that you will always be known for, if you have put a lot of effort on your existing Tag line, I would suggest staying with that. It will at some point be synonymous with your name.

Is your tagline integrated with your logo? If so, I would say it's okay to keep your existing tagline and display it as part of your logo/identity on the frisbee.

A phrase related to the frisbee, like "Catch a Great Deal" as mentioned by W.M.M.A., could serve the purpose as more of an ad headline, which can change depending on the promotion, than a tagline, which generally remains constant.

    So, why not use both?

I would recommend sticking with your existing tagline. Much of branding is consistency. The consultative approach of your existing tagline is probably more differentiating than a theme-related tagline, IMO.

I'd agree on keeping your current tag line, unless you are using the discs to promote something.

Speaking of which - why not use the discs to offer an incentive to potential customers? For example ...

"Present this flying disc for a FREE valuation of your home!"

"This disc entitles you to a SPECIAL DISCOUNT on any new residential real estate listing before [date]!"

By the way, be sure to use 'disc' or 'flying disc' in any copy you write on these things, as 'Frisbee' is a trademark, not a generic term.

I don't think I'd think too hard on this one about tying into what you are currently doing. (unless you always use flying discs in your promotion).

I think I'd take the KISS approach and put your name and phone number, email address -whatever and say something like,

Catch me to list your place, or find a new place to play!

    Good Luck!
