Team Name For 2 Realtors In Northern Va

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello there! I am a newer REALTOR in Northern VA and I have just partnered with another newer REALTOR. We would like to have a "catchy" name that is easy to recall, professional, and if possible fun. Our names are Ginger Walker and Denise Sebuck and we are both moms as well as wives of government husbands (marine and FBI), one blonde and one brunette (not that this really may matter but we do have our photo that will show on all marketing materials) and work more in residental but at some time may expand. Any help would be much appreciated!

You could play off your names, or your husband's jobs, or even your hair color. However, when it comes time to hiring someone to handle the biggest financial decision of one's life, I'd rather hire someone who's professional, has experience, knows the market, and is a great negotiator. Cute/catchy/fun doesn't play into it at all.

Agree with Jay, I think fun and catchy is not something that would resonate with me if looking for a Realtor.

This is not all that creative or innovative, but,

Sebuck and Walker has a nice ring to it in my opinion.

I agree that you probably don't want something too cute or catchy when asking people to spend large amounts of money with you. If your own names don't have the "ring" you're looking for, you could also consider using your kids' names to create a new name. There's a staffing/consulting agency here in St. Louis called KellyMitchell that might seem like a pretty boring name until you realize netiher of the founders of the company have that name. The two founders used the first names of their oldest kids and made a new pseudo-name for the company. Simple, effective, and doesn't sound like you're naming it after yourselves. Not to mention it makes for a good story with clients. And of course, when the kids grow up to follow in mom's footsteps, the company will be ready & waiting for them with their names all over it!

Good luck with the new venture!

You have distinctive, memorable names. Use them.

    Here's an approach:

    Sebuk Walker Realtors
    *Love your neighborhood*

Serving Stafford, Fredericksburg, and Quantico counties.

The idea is to position yourselves as experts in this specific area. Your website also says "and Northern VA." I like it better when you stay specific and name counties. It pulls better.

*Love your neighborhood* evokes the sense that you can help me find a community. As a person coming into the area to work for the government or one of the many international companies, educational institutions, and research labs in the area, I really want someone who understands how to help me get settled into a community, not just find a house.

You need to tell those stories. You need to tell your story.

I love it. You go girls.
