Know-How Exchange : Taglines/Names

Do you have exactly the same target market (potential customer base) - or different targets? If it is different targets, which it certainly sounds like, and two totally different services/products, your overall 'corporate name' may be used (in small print) on both businesses, but you probably need two distinct brand names for the two arms of the business. The benefit of building the two brands is that you have two potential brands for sale down the track, or you may jetison one if the other is really tacking off.

It sounds as if you are deciding what business you are in based on what you can do (landscaping) and some other products that you can access (environmentally friendly cleaning products) rather than starting from a position of looking for a market with an unfufilled need (in your area of expertise or product development)?
