Themed Client Schmoozing Event - Need Tagline Help

We have been hosting a differently themed client schmoozing dinner/BBQ event for the past 5 yrs. This year will be themed "Dancing With the Stars". The theme assists us in our ice Breaker/networking activity before the dinner portion of the evening. The activity gives people an opportunity to mingle, meet new people & have fun. We will have a finale competition after dinner.

With the invitation we want to show them the theme, imply to the guests that they can dress up if they choose, there is a fun dance competition to participate in, dinner & drinks, and general networking opportunities.

I would appreciate any assistance with a tagline, intro copy for the invitations & other print material. Would like something witty or clever that will match the theme.

    "Dancing With the Stars" -- like the T.V. show? Your hosting an event that lifts a name directly from a T.V. show? Are there legal repercussions for doing that? I would make sure that name is not TM’d by the major network that produces the show.

    Leah, sounds like a great theme! Truly something everyone can enjoy, wether they actually dance or just watch. I'm not sure what you're program's like. Being a former Ballroom Dancer myself, I'd reccomend 2 things: you MUST have a live band, and for your dance compeition have you heard of "Jack and Jill" competitions? You ask for an equal # of male and female dancers, and randomly match them up with partners. You usually have several phases, cutting dancers out each time, until you have just 2 couples, and pick the winner. You also randomly choose the judges. The point is be as entertaining to the audience as you can, the couple who has the most fun on the dance floor usually wins.

    Here's a few ideas for your copy:
    Waltz your way to better (your service here).
    Spin, kick, and twirl your way to the top.
    One Enchanted Evening (Spinoff of The King and I's "Some Enchanted Evening"-- an alternate name if you can't use Dancing With the Stars)
    Jive, tango, and Samba your way to better (your service)
    Just a Quickstep to improve your (your service)
    A night of glitz and glamour
    Twirl around the dance floor with your biggest fans
    Strictly Dancing (and some networking too)
    Moonlight, music, and your best moves!

    These ideas aren't top notch, but hopefully something you can work with. Best of luck to you and your event!
