I Need A Name For A New Dental Practice.

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I CURRENTLY OWN A LARGE DENTAL PRACTICE AND AM IN THE PROCESS OF OPENING A NEW OFFICE/LOCATION. I WANT A VERY CONTEMPORARY OFFICE. I AM NOT SURE YET IF I WILL BE KEEPING THE OFFICE OR BUILDING OUT TO SELL. I DO NOT WANT IT TO SOUND LIKE A "DENTAL CENTER". THERE WILL BE ONLY 1 DOCTOR. VERY HIGH TECH, VERY MODERN. LOCATION IS IN TEXAS. STREETS ARE GREEN OAKS BLVD AND KELLY ELLIOTT. DENTIST IS A MALE. I NEED AN ANSWER VERY QUICKLY SO I CAN ESTABLISH MY PC AND MOVE ON WITH BANKING.

There's no shortcut to your request. Many posts on this forum historically have established that when launching a new company name or branding a company or concept, it's best to keep it simple and emblematic of your business, especially in the highly competitive medical and dental services industry.

Forget about the lack of details you have provided us and decide who you want your target customer to be; what age and financial income bracket they fall in; neighborhood they live in, Insurance carriers you plan to accept that have, or will, approve you; etc. Then look at the retail shops and Malls this group frequents, Radio and TV programs and stations they watch; activities, sports and clubs they frequent; etc. ... and the name will come to you when you least expect it to.

Otherwise, create a local or regional competition with an offer of a small incentive like free teeth cleaning for a year to the staff of one of the many professional branding agencies or marketing consultants in your area who provide you the best name and brand identity.

You'll get some good free PR, instant clients who will refer you to their friends and relatives, and a reputation for innovation that everyone will remember. And most importantly, an ad agency you can trust to help you launch your business.

You'll need them, because I'm sure you'll want a "professional" to create and promote your identity just like I would want a professional to take care of my teeth, especially because you don't always get "two bites at this apple!"
