Food Biz Show - Looking For Tagline And Theme

Posted by Anonymous on 375 Points
Our show is all about Mobile Food Vending; how to open a successful coffee cart, ice cream cart or lunch truck. At the Show, there are cart vendors, food brokers, equipment dealers, food cart franchises, etc.

We need a TAGLINE that is a message and soft call to action. Example: Enjoy sweet success at the Food Biz Show... "Sweet Success" has been overdone. But we need something like that. Dig into... Feast on...

We also need a THEME. We teach that 1950s food value and customer service should be the hallmark of their business. The theme of our Food Biz Show should reflect this.

The event is called the Concessions, Carts, & Kiosks Expo. Go to [inactive link removed]. Maybe going to the site will inspire some good ideas.

As you know, the most successful mobile food services, regardless of product sold, are based on "time and location." A Trade Show promoting Mobile Vending equipment, products and know-how should incorporate everything to do with fashion, wheels, speed, and time.

Why not an old fashion Detroit Auto Show theme, where you invite local or regional classic car clubs or enthusiasts to bring their 1950's and 60's Corvettes, Caddies, T-Birds, Mustangs, etc., but also use old fashion signage from McDonalds, Dairy Queen, Orange Crush, etc. creating a wider audience appeal for the show and a theme that reinforces the great fast food success stories of our time.

Ask your registered vendors to bring their older, or antique mobile vending equipment that you then compare side by side with the current and most up to date equipment, products, styles, and models. Hire some appropriately dressed fashion models as greeters and to showcase the old and new equipment and then have a competition (with old fashion trophies awarded) and judge the best older and original mobile vending equipment with the "Best In Show" new mobile vending equipment.

And like your trade show logo, the original "mobile food" came to you via roller skating prom queen wannabes, delivering good and fast food. But it wasn't about speed, or even the food, it was about hangin' out with your friends.

In this case, your participants, vendors, and patrons will be "Hanging' Out with the Experts" where you showcase the What, How and Why, the original Fast Food and Mobile Food vendors, products and services stood the test of time.

But we have a new mobile food audience now, so the Tag line needs to reflect not just food, but how it looks and how it's served as well.

Tag: Styling with the Experts in Food, Fashion and Everything Served on Wheels."

I think the theme for your show can be Snacks/(Sweets), Drinks and Rock-n-Roll.
The decade of the Fifties gave birth to Rock and Roll. It was full of optimism and new inventions (transistor radio, videotape recorder, microwave oven, etc) and by the way baby boom.
When Bill Haley's Rock Around The Clock became popular in 1955, the nation learned to swing to a whole new sound. Remember, it's also decade when electric guitar & syntesator were invented.
So, just try to re-create atmosphere of these years - for example use format of popular american bandstand show (Live from Philly).
