How about simply, "From the Podium"? Or maybe "Soapbox"?

Thanks Tracey. There could be something in Soapbox.

Thanks for your ideas. Prompted by dmull's "Behind the Podium," what about Under the Podium?

The idea fits with the notion of "under the hood."

How about something along the lines of
    PowerSpeak or PowerTalk
Getting you out from behind the Podium
    Powerful Presentations
    Vox First
    First Voice
    CommYOUnication Connection
    Audience Builder

Just a couple off the top of the head.

What about a play on words from a well known movie...
A descriptive tagline might be enough to pull the fun name together with the position.

    "Finding Mojo" (Finding Nemo)
    Get the power of presentation.

"A streetblog named Inspire" (A streetcar named desire)
Remarkable presentations that will improve your career.

    "The Wizard of Pause" (duh!)
Control your path to Worldclass Public Speaking.

    Hi Trevor.

There is something about "Under the Podium," that doesn't sit well such that I, as a potential customer think subliminally negative. It's probably because I was just reading a document that used the phrase "under the table," and thus the connotation and association.

However, this is an important consideration, because audience response will to a certain degree be subjective. If I was a targeted first-time audience, and i have not heard of PodiumConsulting, I'd probably see it in my inbox, and draw the conclusions I have just drawn, and I am none the wiser.

I checked your website, and there might be something there about "ideas being contagious." I mean ideas are great, but only when it is delivered with such simple, uncluttered, direct to the point and "contagious" way. The end in mind is to influence. You can engage, but the end is always to influence.

Stay true to your brand, I think it is absolutely great. If I only have 3.5 seconds to spare and decide to be engaged or not in a subject, I'd be moved by:

    Get on that Podium.

Ideas & Influence: How to be Contagious.

The Influencer on the Podium: Learn the Secrets.

    P.S.

I loved the way people are central to your website, it is absolutely spot on!

If we are looking for that "hook" to get someone to open an email - maybe it is as simple as "learn from the leaders." That would pique my interest - learn what? About what? etc.

    Good thoughts being shared.

Its almost too obvious but all of your trademarked systems have 'command' in them, how about "The Command Center" or "Letters from the Command Center (Central Command)" or "Taking Command".

Not only are they catchy (thank you very much) but it would help build up the brand equity of those trademarks through the repetition of that word and make both the products and blog more memorable and easier to spread around virally. Plus, it is a confidence inspiring, authoritative name and you could get expert points just for that.
