New Fitness Center Looking For A Catchy Name!!!

Posted by Anonymous on 235 Points
We are a fitness center with 2 levels offering cardio, free weights, machines, day care, group class, tanning. We will be focusing a lot on people who are new to the gym, and the stay at home parents/baby boomers, but want the club to appeal to everyone of all ages and levels.
We are looking for a name that is not your typical "joes fitness", but something catchy, preferrable 1 or 2 words like pulse, etc "pulse is already taken".
We are located off a busy highway and want people to be able to look at our name, read it quickly and still remeber it a few hours later!!!!

Catchy names are catchy because they're purposefully different. And, most often based on a point of differentiation. Your description really provides nothing that would distinguish your fitness center from others with the possible exception of location. So, you leave us with the challenge of picking one fabulous word to use as a memorable name. The one you mention, Pulse, I don't think makes the cut. It's neither hip nor provocative but rather sort of frantic sounding (maybe also too clinical). Lemme throw offer up a couple alternatives:

    Revolution
    Crunch
    Groove (as in find yours)
    Rave

As a list they're uninspirational. It's all in the artistic treatment and tagline. Personally, I think revolution has the most potential. It implies maybe there's a different (i.e. better) way to work out and get fit. But, there I go with that differentiation thing again.

    Would enjoy your comments.
