I like Bear Necessities - double check with Disney to be sure you can use it without copyright infringement.

How will you deal with the competition from national chains like Build a Bear and Vermont Teddy Bear? Are you going to be located in a mall or as a stand alone store front? Will you be licensing bear designs with other organizations (BAB has World Wildlife Federation, Sesame Street and several movie connections like Shrek and Happy Feet) or strictly your own bear designs?

Are the children's clothing lines also unique/original or are they known brands carried under your brand? What can you say about the clothing? Is it 100% organic cotton? Fair Trade certified? Child-safe (no buttons for babies, etc)? Are they tough and wash well? In a tight economy, parents are looking for clothing that will last well beyond one child. Value is key.

For special events, you may want to consider Afternoon Tea Parties and other original themes for your birthday parties and other events. This will work as a differentiator from your competition. The more unique your brand can be, the better off you'll be. You've got big shoes to fill in trying to compete with Build a Bear and Vermont Teddy Bear Company.

all of these names have been helpful.....does anyone have ideas on slogans?

It's very hard to comment on slogans until you decide on a business name (they go hand in hand). Once you've made that decision, then work with your business' strengths and unique selling proposition (USP) to determine an appropriate positioning line.
