Adding Jewelry/gifts Line To Current Business

We already have a small business (Rafter L Leather & Tack) where we sell leather tack and team roping supplies. For those who may not know tack is the equipment used for riding horses ie, saddle, blankets, breast collars, etc. This is my husbands interest and now I am adding my interests to the business. I am selling sterling silver jewelry, primarily crosses with and without beads/stones/crystals. At a later date I am thinking of adding t-shirts and caps with bling crosses on them. I am purchasing under our current business name, but would like a catchier, more approriate name for this side (my side) of the business. I would say my primary target markets are cowgirls (current customers) and Christians. Any suggestions?

    Hi Casey - I understand completely what you are saying! I would try to keep Rafter L in there somewhere to make the most of your good reputation. BTW - how do you show "Rafter L" as a brand? I am familiar with brands like "rocking bar J" - but how does a Rafter L look?

    Consider: Jewelry L. Instead of a rafter over an L, convert the rafter into a necklace w/beads over the L. The connection to your other business becomes stronger as well. Alternatively, you might want to change it to Jewelry T (same basic logo) but the T can be drawn as a cross, which further hints at your target market.

    You seem to understand your customer well. Having lived in Texas for a while (and still missing it), I agree with your comment about rodeo lovers "not shy about showing their faith along with their love for horses/rodeo."

    Here's my suggestion that combines a reference to Christian faith as well as your name:
