Need Clever Name For Our Intranet

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Please help, need a clever, fun name for our Intranet. We have several business units and most all begin with the same name, but we would prefer not to use our name in the title because we also have to represent three other units who do not share that name.

We need much more information about your company and what you hope to accomplish with the intranet before we can provide any suggestions.

You might consider any of these transportation-related words:

    Or, how about "hub".

Outside of transportation-themed names, try a nickname.

This gives it personality since it is a source for employees only, like another character among them. For example, Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix became "BOB."

You could make an acronym of like "Virtual Information Center" and call it "VIC."

Since it is a source for multiple units: Joint Active Communication Center. "JACC." You could do a roll-out of "You don't know JACC. But you will."

The company I worked for previously called their intranet "Sherlock" since it was a place to seek out information. The mascot was a bloodhound in a sleuth hat and trenchcoat with a magnifying glass. This was a homebuilder, and there is clearly no tie-in there.
