A Name (and Tagline) That Stands Out

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My friend is a ballroom dance instructor who initially is starting ballroom dances with classes (at ballroom studios). While she does not own a dance studio, she wants to create a brand for herself. She is the best ballroom dance instructor in the area and wants to create a brand that is whimsical; communicates the excitement/sexiness, and romance of dancing; and differentiates her company from dance studios in the area.

She is targeting 25-50 year olds. Obviously this is a large group so she should focus on other attributes that are important. The target market is on the go, loves to dance, has lots of energy and excitement, and keeps fit. In many ways, dancers express themselves through this visual art whether it's gracefulness, sexy, sizzling, romance, seduction, etc.

However, she wants to create a name that will allow her to grow into other areas such as fitness, health, yoga, and other activities that contribute to fulfilling people’s lives and enhance their lives. Is she trying to incorporate too many different services which will make the company too unfocused?

Regarding the name, she would like one that makes a reference to moon or lunar (because of her name), but is also open to other names. One name she likes is Pink Moon Productions. Any suggestions?

The word "productions" made me think of an event or media planning company. "Pink Moon" itself doesn't convey much, and made me somehow think of "Goodnight Moon" (the children's book).

I'd suggest names that make it more obvious what she's offering: Joy Through Movement, Dance Of Life, Moon Dance, or LunaSee Dance.

That' s Amore Dance - (From the song when the moon hits the sky like a big pizza pie, Amore means love)
For the Love of it - Dance Instruction
    Love to Dance
    Gotta Dance

    Hope this helps,
