Need Name For Caramel Apple Business

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I make apples dipped in caramel, chocolate, nuts, etc. I also make a traditional southern caramel cake. My daughter came up with the name Love At First Bite and I love the name. However, when I searched it I found out there is a bakery in California with the same name. Please help!

If there is no federal trademark for "Love at First Bite" and you are not planning to do interstate business, and only sell in your local area, you probably don't need a federal trademark. You can register the trademark in your state and get local protection. (I'm not an attorney - just basing this answer on my own experience).

Since the thing your apples and cake have in common is caramel, how about:
    Caramelicious

There was a relatively cute movie - "Love at First Bite" Starred Leslie Nielsen and was a vampire take-off.

    How about
    Carmellicious
    Eve's Downfall
    Eve's Seduction
    Carmel Knowledge
    Apple Dipps

    Good Luck and Good eats!

"This Side of Heaven" with a tagline detailing what you do like "Superb Caramel Apples and Cakes".

"Orchard's Best", same tagline as before.

    "Orchard Excellence"

    "(A) Cause for Cravings"

    "Teacher Reachers"

Give 'em an excuse to come:
"An Apple a Day" or "Your Daily Apple" or "Gooey Goodies"

Depending on the type of apples, how about playing off the names:

"Sweet Grannies" or "Stickey Mac's" or "Granny Sweets"

    "Sticky Crunchers"

Get too cute or clever with words, and you will obfuscate your market position. Perhaps it's worth trying something straightforward in the business name itself.

    "Gourmet Apples and Cakes"
    "Caramel Apples and Cakes"
    "Extraordinary Apples and Cakes"

Then you can have fun with the tagline. LOVE AT FIRST BITE.
