Importance Of Experience In Tagline

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I'm an Assistant to a Realtor at ReMax with over 18 years of experience. She is a top producer. We live in a city of +-60,000 people. 80% of her business is through referrals. Lately we have been getting business through our website. Since our city's economy is forestry based, we have drastic economic ups & downs where many Realtors jump boat. Not many last throughout the years. She has outlived this.

Over the years I've realized that many customers are unaware that you can use the same Realtor to buy any property not necessarily listed by that Realtor. Customers phone different Realtors each time when wanting to buy. In the tagline, I'd like to try to capture these customers together with her many years of experience.

I came up with "When experience counts" and placing the number of years separately. But it still doesn't do it for me! I would have to update the number each year and there is no thought in capturing new customers. Maybe I shouldn't incorporate the awareness to new customers in the tagline. I consider her main benefits to customers: experience & knowledge.
Presently our tagline says" Over 18 years of experience helping families buy & sell homes in Prince George.

What should our tagline say?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

what's her name? often, real estate names can give a ton of value to their promotional purchasors.

my client: Fred Feaver, Real Estate Royal Lepage -

Naturally, his sales have skyrocketed since we invented cheesy old:

Get the Feaver - Real Estate Professional.

pretty simple, quite embarrassingly simple. yet effective. His sales are over 40 homes this year - and its' September. Normally, over the past five years, his sales were 25 to 30 "ends"- so it is working.

    hope that helps,

    Kevin

How about: "Helping Your Prince George Neighbors Since 1989"

Thank you all for your responses. The answers & great advice were awesome so it will be a difficult task. Not too sure if Joni replied over the weekend. I'll get back to you today & see which one she prefers.

I agree with Phil re not to be too wordy. Keven's advice was good. Some realtors use something similar here, but this wouldn't reflect her personality. Jay's is good but someone here has one very similar to this. Really liked Mike's & Phil's taglines. They seem to capture what we're looking for in a few words.

Thank you all for your input. There was great thought into your answers. For now we decided to add more to Mike's suggestion and came up with:

"When 18 years of experience matters". If we get tired of changing the years every year, the number can be replaced by "decades". Still not written in stone but we'll go with this for now.

    Thanks Guys!

I might recommend isolating the ever-changing year number, so that your primary slogan rolls off the tongue year after year, something like:
"When Experience Matters--18 Years and Counting."

And, since you indicate you want people to know they can use Jennie for EVERY real estate transaction they might wish to pursue, you can even add a local reference in some kind of subheader: "Prince George Real Estate STARTS with Jennie [name.]"

Speaking of encouraging customer loyalty, in my market several Realtors use a suitable phrase, "Your Realtor for Life," or "Your Real Estate Resource for Life."

    Best regards,
