Creative Name For Post-wedding Photo Shoot

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Most photographers call this session a "Trash The Dress" shoot. The bride and groom get back in their fancy clothes and do a creative portrait session where they are not afraid to get dirty. The dress isn't always trashed, and many people do not like the name. They feel it is wasteful or disrespectful.

Other names I've seen:
UnBridaled Shoot
Post-Wedding Shoot
Day After Shoot

I'm trying to think of a creative name. Anybody have any ideas? My favorite so far is UnBridaled, but a photographer about 30 minutes from me is using that.

Thanks!

If they are truly married at this point, then:

    First Day Together
    Dress Up/Mess Up
    After Laughter
    Next Day Dress Up
    Parting Shot
    Hoot Shoot

    Afterglow Session

A photographer in my area is using the business name Afterglow Photos, but since you are just using it to describe a service you offer, I'm sure there wouldn't be an issue. Something you may want to look into, however.

If you liked "UnBridled," how about

    "weddings unveiled."

Just the old conservative in me - but the thought of messing up the dress you probably spent thousands on does not seem appropriate - and, having once worked in a tuxedo rental joint (35+years ago), we were never to pleased when the apparel was returned after guests had taking a dip in the pool, or filled the pockets with champagne. (And, I know this isn't the forum to discuss present day philosophy.)

Actually, maybe you could go to consignment shops, watch the want ads, etc. and find old wedding dresses and let the Bride wear an old one for the shoot - thereby preserving her new gown - reducing the "what the H was I thinking" syndrome that would rear its head 10 years later (hoping the marriage lasts that long!) .

Good Luck with your effort and I hope you are very successful!
