Topic: Taglines/Names

Photography Business Name

Posted by Anonymous on 150 Points
I am a graphic designer who is starting to get into photography. I do family, senior and children photography so far. I have done the occasional wedding but i am not all that comfortable with doing them just yet.
I am struggling on what to have as my name for my photography. Below are some options, let me know what you think.

MAD Creative Photography (MAD comes from my initials)
MAD Creative Photos
Missy Dale Photography (my first and last name)

***is MAD going to scare people off? Do i need the word Photography in there? Feedback or any other brilliant ideas welcome and much appreciated!!

Thanks!

agreeing the above advice, I thought up all kinds of names for my photography services and finally just went with my initials and last name. SC Byrne Photography. It's my brand, it will never go out of fashion and I can own it.

    good luck shooting

I am not a big fan of MAD as well. It does not instill much confidence.

If you want to use your name go with your full name.

Most photographers we have dealt with use their personal name somewhere in their company name. I actually think it conveys more professionalism than a gernic name. When I hear a generic name for a photography studio I think of the big chains like Kiddie Kandids, etc.
