Need To Name New Bussiness

Posted by Anonymous on 375 Points
I am opening a children's clothing store. All the items are slightly used, but I want to incorporate the whole REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.
My store is very "GREEN".
I need to come up with a name that introduces the kids, slightly used clothing, helping the environment with the whole "REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

You might handle the Reduce, Reuse and Recycle by including the triangular recyling symbol in your logo. This might be a great way to make the conotation without using all the words.

Who is your target audience? What's your objective for the business? If it's to make money while doing something for the environment, then PhilGrisoliaMarketing is giving you good advice: Promise and deliver against the primary benefit and let the secondary benefit just "be there."

You compromise the effectiveness of the name when you try to serve too many masters ... and in this case just saying "kids" and "clothing" is plenty. Don't try to be cute or to tell a whole story with the name.

    Reading writing and recycling!

People do buy recycled clothes because of reuse. There are many-- MANY people striving toward zero or lessened waste. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

You mention your store is very green. I'd like to understand what that means so I can coach you. I do a lot of coaching on green marketing. Remember that talking "green" isn't enough. Green is a feature-- not a benefit. So remember features and benefits. Especially today where people are skeptic cause people recyling a tin can are touting the green word.
