Central Theme & Tagline For Motivational Campaign

Posted by vasudev_kamath on 500 Points
Need new central theme & tagline for 2009, major global telecom & IT company. 2008 = Central theme was - Velocity tagline - redifining direction, maximizing speed.
This is for employees to motivatate them & achieve their targets & remind them of their goals. After we get the central theme & the tagline we would need 12 inspirational quotes, for 12 months, e.g great people deliver, great results with maximum velocity. here again the word velocity comes into picture. The focus would be on achiving the WTA (world telecom awards, productivity, quicker responses to customer, more sales/profits, savings/cost cutting, customer service)

    Hi Phil,

You are quite close to the concept, "Winners are self-made Become one!" this could be used as monthly/inspirational message going on a poster with the picture relating to it.

However we still need a central theme & a tagline for the campaign.

Tried the link, it is good for general motivation , however is not linked to the theme. Please mail in if you get better concepts or ideas.
Thanks for your help on this so far.
    Regards,

    Hi Mikee,

    Thanks for making an attempt,
What we are looking for is an theme, eg: Velocity and below it a tagline, eg:- redifining dircetion, maximizing speed.

If you see, velocity represents speed, and the tagline also means that if the team moves in the right direction & quickly, the responses to the customer will be faster, rather than running around the bush by not contcating the right person who is supposed to resolve the customers issue.

Time is the essence, every thing should be fast. there is no time to waste.

Now the above was for last year 2008, now that the teams have pulled up the socks & are fast enough.

We want to launch a new campaign for 2009 considering the below mentioned factors:-The focus would be on achiving the WTA (world telecom awards, productivity, quicker responses to customer, more sales/profits, savings/cost cutting, customer service).

Based on this we need the central theme & a tagline.

    Looking forward to the creativity.

    Regards,

    How about:

    Destiny - take control
    It's in your hands

    Principles
Not one way - the only way!

    Success
    It comes from inside

    I'll keep thinking.

    Good Luck!

    Hi mc,

    liked your tagline

"keep steaming...but make customers happy", this could be considered as a motivational/tagline or theme for concept. Will present to our MARCOMM team & VP. Keep thinking on these lines, we still need the central theme.

    Regards,

    Hi cnolte,

I liked all of your concepts & it is quite relational to the workplace. Will prsent it to functional head, Marcomm & our VP. However again this could only be used as 12 monthly inspirational quotes. Could you please also help with central theme & tagline, you are pretty close to what we are hunting for.

    Destiny - take control
    It's in your hands

    Principles
Not one way - the only way!

    Success
    It comes from inside

Thanks for all the 3 concepts that you presented so far. gr8 concepts.

    Regards,

    Vasudev,
Maybe we borrow from the US Navy....

    Top Gun

That's the goal for the year and every month we come up with a goal that puts your team members one step closer to achieving Top Gun status. (Top guns are carrier based jet fighter pilots and crew. Pretty good movie from the mid-80s by that name.)

Those who achieve Top Gun get special perks.

There are other specialized military units that could also provide some ideas such as Seals, Green Berets, Special Ops, etc. They are elite groups that are highly trained and specialized - and I think that is what you are "gunning for."

Or maybe we go with a theme similar to what some in the insurance industry use -

The Round Table or President's Cabinet, Million Dollar Club or a similar recognition that singles out the top performers and establishes stretch goals (although realistic) for everybody.

FYI - my earlier ideas were based on Stephen Covey's writings and philosophies.

    I'll keep thinking.

    Good Luck!

    Hi CVN (cnolte),

Thanks so much for extending your support for our team & our company's motivational campaign.

Top GUN - Although good, like you mentioned souds for militarty based & rigid rule based which our company workculture is not.

Seals, Green Berets, Special Ops - Is specific team based. We want to have one theme across the organisation for all teams heading for one goal.

The Round Table or President's Cabinet, Million Dollar Club - Is theme used or can be used for either newsletter or reward/award ceremony - cannot be currently used for motivating employees.

Pelase keep trying, our team is brainstorming too.

    Vasudev,

    How about:

    Synergy
    Building Relationships, Building Business

(I'm keeping your challenge in the back of my mind as I work on my other tasks.)

    Hi Cnolte(CVN)

I pretty much liked the Theme & more so the tagline. thanks a ton. Getting closer.

The word realationship suits employees in relation to how we ralate to them & are employee centric & people centric & the word business suits that we are more focussed.

Can the word building which is getting repeated be replaced by a better word, like in velocity tagline. Which is rhyming or can there be a better word for relationships, it may sound as if that at workplace we are encouraging people bond more & work less.

But this concept is too good & absolutely what we want, we want all teams, cross functional teams & cross geographies to work in synergy at the same time potray we care for them keeping in mind the job cuts & financial crisis & we want to deliver more profits & value for money to customers aiming for the WTA awards World telecom awards in 2010

    many thanks for your help,

    Regards,

    Vasudev,

Maybe it's Creating Relationships - Building Business
(and you can try interchanging the words)
    Others to consider:
    Strengthening
    Increasing
    Establishing
    Fostering

Thanks for the challenge - have a great weekend! (I'll keep thinking!)

    Hi Cnolte(CVN),

Superb, i think we have almost cracked the tagline,
with the wide array of words you have given.

Now can you suggest a synonym to "Synergy" which is more powerful & sounds impacting to ones ear & makes one use them more often at workplace.

    Have a great weekend.

    Many thanks once again,

    Vasudev

    Vasudev,
Robert caught the gist of the concept and adds good insight.

Unfortunately, I have no clue as to another word for Synergy - it is so unique.

I found this definition on the word processor site and can't think of another word that means the same.

Synergy - "the working together of two or more people, organizations, or things, especially when the result is greater than the sum of their individual effects or capabilities."

    I'll keep thinking.
