Ground To A Halt

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Hello Everyone

My creative juices have dried up and I'm trying to think of a catchy title for a presentation I'm giving at a school grounds (yard) conference.

The presentation is mainly photos of unusual and inspiring features seen in school grounds that I visited in North America, Sweden and the Czech Republic during this past year. The delegates will be able to take the ideas to use and develop in their own outdoor spaces, if they wish.

Many thanks
Juliet

I tried a whole bunch of words, and came back around to a focus on Play. Why? "Play" is simple and goes to the heart of what you do on a playground / school ground. I did a presentation in Europe a couple of years ago and quickly learned that puns aren't easily understood by people who don't speak English. So, a "witty" line has to make sense beyond being a bit of wordplay.

But eh... a title of a presentation should capture the mind of your audience and make them inquisitive about your content. If you are going for catchy names, nobody will understand them, because they have not been part of your creative process and thinking process, much less part of this discussion.

It sounds boring, but the best catch phrases have been around for more than 100 years and are still working. Why not use one of those.

Do you wish you had this playground when you were young?
Why these playgrounds are making us better children.
    etc etc
