looking for some tips or direction on creating a USP or Tagline, I've been a realtor in Baltimore, Maryland for 18-plus years and work with buyers & sellers of residential real estate in the price range of 300k to 1,000,000

    Creating a USP or tagline is not nearly as easy as it probably seems, especially if you've never done it before. It's a little like going to a psychologist to get to know yourself better.

    You might start by identifying your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats -- a/k/a a SWOT analysis. Then try to define your primary target audience. Don't dismiss this by saying, "anyone who wants to buy or sell a house." Think about what your very best clients have in common, other than that they are buying/selling residential real estate.

    If you approach the challenge in a professional way and really give it your best effort, you'll reap disproportionate rewards for years to come. If the request was really just a casual inquiry, then it probably doesn't matter much what USP or tagline you use. The USP should be something that is unique to you and delivers an important benefit to your primary target audience.
