Name Grill, Pub And Formal Dining Area For Club

Posted by ldanielson on 125 Points
A 100+ year old Country Club in Terre Haute, IN is transitioning from formal dining to provide casual/family/sports "pub-ish" and formal dining options for members. I am looking for names to describe the experience members will receive. The Club sits on high ground (Terre Haute means 'high ground') and the current Club logo is an Arrowhead. The menus will change with the change in the room designs and layouts. I have a list of traditional club restaurant names - 19th Grill, Bogie's, Par Lounge, Birdie's, etc and have considered The Arrowhead Grill to tie into our logo. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Arrowhead grill is a nice idea although might not hint to the more casual nature of the club. Another name I have always liked is 19th Hole. Although a bit generic it does indicate a more laid back "pubish" environment.

Another idea is to get the members involved. Get a list of names and send them out in the newsletter and ask for responses. That would help get the word out as well as give the members the feeling of involvement with the changes which might help the traffic during your transition. At minimum it would help stimulate talk of the club.

    * Functions: Grill, Fish & Chips, Ales, Sporting, etc.

Thanks for helping everyone! I appreciate your time and ideas. I'm still looking for something like, but different from, the "19th Hole" or "19th Grill". Any more ideas?

    How about:

    Mullilgan's Pub
    Niblick and Mashie's
    Eagle's Lair
    Gimmies or Gimme's
    Rounding the Corner

    Good Luck!
