Name For An Upcoming Event

Posted by Anonymous on 300 Points
I need to come up with a clever name for an event. The Industry is Oil & Gas (pipeline); will be a two day event; also focuses on GIS. The event will have pipeline operators and vendors; discussions will include current and future needs in terms of data management; there will be panel discussions, user presentations and new technology presentations. I kinda wanted something that plays off of pipeline but doesn't have to. The name has to be professional as employees will be asking their boss for permission to go.
Names I thought of: GIS Roundtable for Pipelines; GIS Directions for Pipeline users.

You could add a benefit to the name, but do not veer off the beaten track too much, since then it would be too hard for your audience to sell it to their bosses.

Include a word like 'conference' or 'round table' or some familiar term.

The name must be easy to talk about and thus not too long. Possibly easy to search for or easy to use in a web site URL as well.

    Maybe:
    'Find your pipes' conference
    'Piping GIS' conference
    ...

I agree about the length. But since we are having panel discussion--would summit be best? How about gathering? "piping" to me relays something piping hot. people who deal with pipeline GIS are into maps, coordinates, pipelines, etc. any other ideas????

Conference: Invisible Pipelines Visible with GIS
Pipelines and GIS: Unclogging the Data Flow
Conference on Pipeline Break-Throughs With GIS
Summit: New Visions in Pipelines with GIS

thank you both for your responses. They are very helpful.

Can you think of anything with Directions? What do you think about: GIS Pipeline Directions Conference or Mapping The Way Forum?
I guess I want something short (which I'm finding is hard to do), memorable but have a different ending other than conference....because it will only be a small event, maybe 200 people?
    hmmmmm...still need ideas
