Fuel - Old Service Station New Business

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am taking my dad's old service station and
making a really cute clothing/gift boutique...kind
of on the order of an Athropologie....I want to
call it FUEL....and play off logo "for body, soul and
mind"....this may sound weird but I am also going
to have a little bakery in the station...cookies, cupcakes...Fuel for the BODY...
Thoughts??

Check the copyright for your name and tag line, they are taken already (I think)
    Good luck.

There is a Fuel Clothing (ski wear) but don't let that deter you. Go for it till you hit a road block. How many Acme whatever are in your phone book.

As far as having fuel for the body in your shop-- its a great idea. Nordstroms has a coffee shop in each store, and there are many stores within stores.

I love the tie into your dad's property/former business.

Don't spread yourself too thin by trying to market and maintain sales of clothing/gifts and bakery. Clothing and certain gifts sell well together, but I see the bakery as being a potential challenge unless it is its own business. I do love the name!

    Partner up!

Sub contract your bakery out to someone. Either a bakery that wants to expand, or someone wanting to get into the business.

Ask for partner offers, view their business plans, expect them to view yours, write a contract.

Sounds like it could be a fun place. Do you have the customer base for this venture?
