I think that before you can decide on a name, you need to decide how you plan to position the boots in the market.

This will then guide you on the naming.

For instance, are you going after a truly genuine 'HIGH quality boot? hand made? hand sewn? where quality is the most important issue over price?

Or are you going after a mass market low end cheaply produced but 'HIP' styling.

How will you differentiate your boots from anyone elses's boots? Why will a buyer choose your boots over existing brands? These are the questions you have to as yourself.

For instance, if you are going after a built tough to last kind of image and you want to target a more macho mail audience, you could call them 'Thugg' boots - built to last.

If you are after the fact that they are warm and cozy and snuggly, then the name you decide should reflect that.

maybe you could come up with a very sporty design that has a sports 'non slip' sole and push it for winter sports maybe.

You may even want to do all of these different models and have multiple boot lines to really be able to come to market with something different.

Think long and hard first about your styles and design and market segments. Look carefully at your desired end user selling price. (how do you want to position your pricing in the market? ) One you have decided what price you want to sell at, this will determine what kind of materials you can afford to use and production costs that you need to keep within (be sure to go this way round, never produce smething and then try to figure out afterwards what price to sell it :))) ).

Once you are clear on all of these elements for yourself, please re post your question with the additional detail of what message exactly you want to get across with your brand name.

Another way to go would be to choose an existing brand name and pay a license to add their logo on your boots. UGG by Dr. Marten for instance. (just throwing out ideas).

Or find a very Australian brand that already represents the qualities that you want to signify and use their brand.

'UGG By Outback' or something like that.

Good luck with your project and keep us updatd on the progress via the forum.

    Matthew
