Snappy Campaign Name Required

Posted by Anonymous on 5000 Points
Hi,

I am looking into launching a campaign aimed at preventing as many small and medium sized businesses in the UK from going under.

it's about saving the businesses because the jobs they provide are vital to the people employed.

People matter, a lot.

I am looking for a snappy title and something that will work as an easy to remember abbreviation / acronym.

the thrust of the campaign will be a charter which the banks and big businesses promise to adhere to.

The charter, if adopted will throw a vital lifeline to the business.

The campaign title should instantly appeal to the target market (owner and employees of small and medium sized businesses) but also be accessible (understood) by the general public as their input will also be vital to its success.

any other clarifications you may require re the campaign just shout.

all ideas and suggestions welcome. lots of points on offer :-)

mike

"throw a vital lifeline" stands out a lot to me. it invokes thoughts of life rafts or rescue equipment, though, which may not be the tone you want to use.

instilling confidence is key. the tone of your campaign should reflect that confidence.

for the acronym, instead of using something like "rescue" or "life guard", which insinuate danger and drowning, i would recommend using one that presents togetherness and teamwork.

here are a few key words that come to mind. assigning the words to the acronym would be easier to do with a glossary of key words. these are just some examples, mostly incomplete, but hopefully beneficial.

    TEAM
(Together England Arises Majestically)-silly, i know, but an example none the less

    GOAL

    SAFE

    HOPE
    (Helping Our People and Economy)

    HELP

    BRAVE

    STRONG

    EMERGE

those are several examples. i would find a 3-5 letter word if possible, and stay positive with the word itself. since everyone is truly in it together, i would recommend using a word that involves teamwork.

think about your key words and key players when trying to assign words to each letter in the acronym. your knowledge of the entire situation should lead you to the right words.

you may try working backwards by laying out all of your key words that you really want to use in the acronym, and then playing scrabble with their first letters.

    i hope this helps.

Certainly small businesses will be key to worldwide economic recovery.

Thanks for providing more information. When you first describe the concept, I had the impression you would be encouraging larger businesses to buy from and to contract with smaller businesses. However, when you provide a bit more information, most of your program seem to be directed towards bank policies.

I am a bit too much of a cynic to believe that banks will dramatically offer their policies toward small businesses just so they can be of help. If your primary focus is towards banks, another strategy would be to have some sort of rating system about how friendly banks are to small businesses, to encourage small-business owners to work with these friendly banks, and do encourage consumers in general to shift their accounts to banks who assisted the growth of small businesses.

By comparison, here in the states cans of tuna fish often have a dolphin safe label, indicating that the techniques used to catch the tuna do not do as much harm to Dolphins. I doubt that the fishermen are primarily concerned about the Dolphins, but the canning companies know the dolphin safe logo is good public relations.

In addition to your proposed guidelines for banks, I would encourage you to look for ways larger businesses can partner with smaller businesses.

The best of luck to you.

    What about:

    REC
    "Re-Building ECONOMIC Confidence"

    OR

    REC ( reads as wreck)
    "Re-Newing Economic Confidence"

    OR
    REC
    "Returning Economic Confidence"

Or you could use, RESTORE, RECLAIM, Re-Establishing, relaying

The whole concept would center around how you

"find a business in a wRECK or maybe it calls for a wreck.

LIKE- back to the drawing board on how to survive through any economy..

    OR

    REC- Receding Economic Crisis

" One LINE at a time"
