Offering Incentives To Small Business

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are a multi-national company that provides financial assistance (in the form of structured loans) to small and medium enterprises (SME) in developing countries in Africa. We would like to incentivise those clients who make, and continue to make regular payments against their loan and are current with all their commitments. We would like to start off with non-financial incentives to our clients, before exploring the financial component. I would love to recieve some ideas on what would potentially be beneficial to our clients and would work as non-financial incentives for our SME clients. All ideas would be appreciated

You might look into providing some basic marketing consulting services. There are a number of ways of handling that, but the basic idea is to provide assistance growing the clients' businesses.

I'm left wondering why? The loan is sold. Your good customers are doing what they ought to which is paying on time. Why are you adding cost? What's the angle?

If you know what the angle is then that may determine what the best incentive for your business would be and not just an undirected reward.

For instance if you're looking long term to get closer to them financially, can you provide things like advice on working capital, financial management, business networking, customer service etc?
