Corporate Meeting Enews Value Statement

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am creating an Enewletter for a resort targeting the corporate retreat business. With this economy they would like to focus on Value. But also focus on the fact that the company will gain actionable results from the off site retreat.

Any thoughts?

    I'm sorry....
This Enewsletter goes out regularly to meeting planners that are current subscribers. I just need a 'value statement' for this particular one. I'm drawing a blank this time.

    Thanks!

You need a reason for people to choose to have their meetings at your site, not just off-site.

If they've been to your resort before, tell them how other business owners have benefited from your business services (testimonials). I'm sure you have great food, beautiful rooms, and an attentive staff -- and so does your competition. What does your resort offer that they can't get (easily) in your area?

Consider making your e-newsletter tip-based, for example: https://www.allbusiness.com/human-resources/employee-development-leadership...
Position yourself not just as a host, but also a facilitator of effective/memorable meetings.

Several years ago, I agreed to be a facilitator for certain kinds of meetings at a particular meeting facility, and they had 6 or 7 of us on the list for companies to review. The sponsoring companies got a reduced fee (from the facilitators), and the meeting facility got bragging rights to a great list of facilitators on a range of subjects.

You might look at something similar, then ask your list of facilitators to contribute content to your newsletter. You can then position the facilitators as your unique value added.

P.S. Where are you located? Maybe we can make a deal! ;-)

FWIW, I just checked out your website. It sure doesn't communicate the corporate retreat market benefit graphically. It looks more like a family-oriented inn. You may want to review the strategy and make sure you don't confuse people from the get-go.
