New Tag Line For A Community Mall

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are a small 200,000 sqft Community Shopping Centre been around forever. The only national Tenants are a furniture, grocery and Department Store. The remainder are smaller local independent stores. The shape of the mall is a dumbbell...achor on either end.

The neighbourhood has changed...we use to draw mostly lower income seniors but with the new housing development we are now targeting more of a middle working class family.

Also the mall had a bit of a decline in leasing for a while but as of May 1st we will be fully Leased (and I want to keep it that way) I need to educate my customers that the mall is full and can service their needs again.

So to do that I am launching an ad campaign with new fresh graphics..but I am stuck on a new tag line.

Its all in the mall...old been there done that
One Stop Shop...again yew

We are a community mall and we can service it quite well now I just need to get the message out.

Any thoughts??

not bad...Not sure my current mix is unbeatable though. Convenience & service YES... since most of us are time starved these days.

I think I want to move in that direction.

What is the name of the mall? Can you describe the graphics? In what community is the mall (e.g. Sioux City, San Luis Obispo, Palatka...)

If you were having a conversation with a friend who just moved to town and she asked you where she should shop, what is the one thing you would say to her that makes this center special? (Go ahead and say this too long or awkwardly or whatever... We'll figure out original and creative language to rephrase it into a fresh tagline.)

Knowing this would help develop a tagline that is organic and ownable and fresh and differentiating.

Otherwise, you'll just wind up with a bunch of generic suggestions.

The name of the mall is Northland Mall The graphic is still being designed so it can really be what I want.

Right now the direction I am going is Caricature of a family walking through the mall. Mom with a cart with a list stopping at all the stores.

Location of the mall is in Southwestern ON Canada.

What makes us special...not much we are a small community mall.

But Wait I am trying to achieve here is that it is convenient and in you back yard.

Also the major issue right now is that the customers come in and go out of the 2 achors but do not travel through the mall. So I want the new tag line to push people to visit or even find out that we have more to offer around the corner.

How about starting with something like:

"Northland Mall, Same Location, Great New Stores"

    or

"Northland Mall, It's Better Than Ever"

to spur interest now and then change it later to something more permanent.
