Construction Company, 28 Years Exp. Need A Tagline

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi, I work for a construction company called The Triad Group. We've been in business for over 28 years with an outstanding reputation, therefore never needing to advertise. Now with the economic downturn we are finding ourselves having to market and network and I was trying to come up with a tagline that will convey that we are reliable and trustworthy. We also perform everything construction wise in house, painting, woodwork, cabinets, hurricane shutters ... so I was thinking something along the lines of building more than just homes ... ??? With this we could address that we do more than just build houses, and address that we are building trust or building relationships, or helping people build dreams. Any ideas or ways to polish up what I have? THANKS!!

    How about something like

    " Building more than just homes...building dreams and trust for 28 years."

    (Aside: Don't use "28 years" in your marketing or next year you'll have to change your marketing materials again. Instead, use words such as "Over 25 Years" or "Since 1981").

    Because your business name doesn't contain the word "construction", your tagline needs to clearly mention building/construction.

    Here are a couple of ideas:
    * Over 25 Years Of Home-Building Excellence
    * Well-Loved Home Construction Since 1981

    You May Try Out These:
    "Building Happiness Since 1981"
    "Construction Of Trust & Happiness"
    "More Than Just A House"
    "Lives Constructed,Trust Builded"
    "Constructions That Lasts Forever"
    "The First Name Of Trust"
    "Homes Built With Love & Care"

    Please, for the love of David Ogilvy, don't go with anything like building trust or building relationships, or helping people build dreams. It's completely generic and forgettable.

    What you should go with is the answer to this question: why should I choose your company? Tell me something that everyone else is NOT telling me. Look through the yellow pages to see what I mean. They all have taglines like building trust or building relationships or helping people build dreams. Those won't help you stand out in the slightest.

    What makes you different? Everyone in the construction business takes pride in their work, is detail oriented, professional, reliable, honest, blah blah blah. Why should I choose you over them? If you tell me the same things or something nebulous like building dreams, you haven't told me anything at all. I'm looking to spend a lot of money and make a serious commitment, convince me that you're the only choice!
