Need Help With Fundraiser Name

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am organizing/sponsoring a Labor Day weekend fundraiser/sort-of holistic health fair/expo for dogs to benefit two different nonprofit charities, Meisha's Hope, through Morris Animal Foundation, and also Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign.

Meisha's Hope was a fund established to research and find a cure for immune mediated hemolytic anemia. 50 to 80 percent of animals who acquire this disease die from it.

The Canine Cancer Campaign is to raise funds to find a cure for canine cancer. 1 in 4 dogs die from cancer.

Thanks to a suggestion from one of the members on the forum last year when I decided I was going to organize such an event, I am hoping to do a pet parade from the city park where the event is being held to the local businesses to collect donation jars that will be placed in the businesses weeks before the event. Otherwise, I am not planning on having an actual walk.

The last event held for MAF's CC campaign was April 25th. Its name was K9K Walk to Cure Canine Cancer.

I would like something that will capture the essence of both nonprofit charities/causes. But by the name, I don't want to rule out the Meisha's Hope charity. I'd like "Hope" to be worked into the name of the event somehow, but I am open to any and all ideas.

There will be vendors at the event who will be focused on alternative/complementary health treatments and services for dogs as well as vendors who supply organic products and safe pet-friendly products for the home.

In addition, I plan to involve children from the elementary school (located on the park's property) in fundraising efforts. I will have Humane Society humane educators on hand to talk about how to be humane to animals and also to involve the children in some fun activities.

So this is a pet health/awareness/safety type event also.

My two companies' names are The Pet Guardian (pet health) and Kindred Spirits Gift Shop. The Pet Guardian will be the main sponsor.

Yes, lots to do. I need an event name as my starting point so I can begin pulling my promotional materials together and hit the pavement.

Thank you so much for all your input!

I love Pawrade For A Cure, Jay, and thank you for the original idea to do this! However, don't you think in the title there should be some reference to what the main event is about, or does that come in the advertising materials?
