Name And Tagline For Marketing Consulting Company

I am starting a marketing consulting company and I need some help on the name and tagline.

1) Casalou Marketing - Consulting and Solutions

2) Casalou Consulting -

We will offer several marketing related plans, research, PR, graphic design and website creation. Our target size businesses will be small-medium.

    How much of a start up are you? Where is your market... Springfield Iowa or New York City. Look up all the PR, graphic, and ad agencies in your market and come up with something toward the top of the list that is easy to understand and stands out.

    If your a one man show, nothing wrong with Jim Casalou Marketing Consultant. Unless you have a hard to figure out first name. Worry about the perfect glamorous name in a few years.

    Small businesses don't want to call the big time agencies, they think they can't afford them.

    Are you bitter and condescending in your reply because of your last name? The bottom line is I have two names chosen and am looking for opinions on both. Secondly, I have a tagline which is stated in the original question. It is always good to get other people's pov's when making creative decisions.

    Casalou is my last name and ironically the lineage dates back to France over 100yrs ago. I was actually thinking about adding "Group" but I wasn't too sure of the context. I thought it may give off the impression that it is a collection of agencies.

    Unfortunately, I'll be starting in Detroit until I am completed with my MBA. I'll be targeting small to medium size companies. I've seen plenty of consulting companies with the owner's last name followed by "marketing" or "consulting" so I feel there is no need to change the name at all, ever. Look at all the major advertising agencies. JWT, Campbell-Ewald, Y&R etc...

    Well...At the end of the day, JCasalou has to be the one living, sleeping, dreaming his best company name. With that said, JCasalou if your choices are the two that you've displayed above, perhaps you can consider adding 'Consultants' at the end i.e.. Casalou Marketing Consultants - CMC :) - suggesting marketing something or the other... I don't know if your plan is to have a large team in your business or a smaller team, but regardless of the internal make-up so long you & your team are capable of delivering I think that's all that matters at the end of the day. I believe your attempt to have 'marketing' in the name says what type of service you are providing - without it can suggest any other form of agency/ law firm / accounting firm etc.
    As for a tag... is it really necessary - I don't believe it is. Especially if you're not presently creating yourself to be 'The Big Boy' Agency/Group... So long your message is clear on your website and collateral in terms of services and to your specific target market I think its fine.
