Need Help Naming An Upscale Boutique

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are opening our 2nd boutique in December.

We currently have another store but do not love the name.

We sell high end clothing and premium denim.

I really like one word names. Something sharp, sleek and catchy.

I would love to find a catchy name that has something to do with "exclusive, high end, luxury"

Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Dear Cassie1228,

High end clothing and premium denim. One word names. Hmm:

    Allure

    Essence

    Romance

    Harlequin

    Paris

    Chantelle

I hope these help. Or that they at least give you inspiration.

    hi cassie,

"Envy" would be a good name, but it's 2009 and probably most the good single word names have been taken. A quick google search shows that "envy" is a brand name for dozens of products.

You will probably need at least two words to get a name you can truly own and even then, something unusual or with a unique spelling e.g. Chic Citty (not a recommendation, just an example)

I would budget $2K for a project such as this. Well worth the money when you consider you will amortise the cost over the life of a brand that will make a difference to your bottom line.

    Best of luck,

    Steve

hmmmmmmm seems marketingprofs system uploaded this post during my spell check. I have noticed that things slow down on this site during peak hours and the system gets a little buggy.

It's all cost and roi :-)

    You May Try These:
    "Elegance"
    "Enticer"
    "Sassy"
    "Mystic" or "Mystique"
    "Majik" (in resemblance to Magic)
    "Attitude"
    "Attire"

    Thanks

    Hi Cassie

A luxury brand for 18 - 35 women is not that unique. So if you tell me more, for instance, if it's luxury and trendy, edgy, or classic, that might help.

French / international names always give that little extra elegance:

    Mon amour
    Viollette
    Cheri
    Verano
    Fiocco
    Fiore

Or for something trendy with energy:

    Spotlight
    Runway

The whole point of this exercise is that you think about what you relate your brand to; how do you want to be seen by your customers; what values does it offer?

    Good luck and good brainstomming!!

"Exclusive, high-end and luxury" aren't sufficient differentiators. Denim is helpful, but not enough. Are you in NY or LA or in Toledo? That makes a difference. Where are you? Who comprises your audience (women with money or women who want to look as though they have money or women whose sugar daddies buy them what they want)? What makes you different? The clothes? The brands? The service? The attitude? To produce not just a good name, but a name that fits you, you've got to answer those questions first.
