Cool Lingerie For Hot Summer

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Dear All ,

I am looking forward to producing intimate apparel (bra & briefs & shaping wear like girdles) that can cool down the body temperature for at least 1 or 2 degree celsius . This will be the perfect under garment for hot summer in Asia .

WHile the R&D is working on it , I am working on marketing aspect . Would really appreciate ideas on
(1) Product Name
(2) Marketing Tagline to go with the product

Many many thanks =))

cheers
J

    Well, 98.6F = 37C, and 39C =102.2; certainly a noticeable difference in temperature.

However, I'm not sure I would want my middle to be that much cooler than the rest of me. I think being two different temperatures would be uncomfortable.

Try holding something cold in one hand and something warm in the other (it will feel rather odd).

Now, something that I would like (which is very hard to find) would be lingerie that is cotton, breathable, and still pretty. Most of the stuff out there is either very plain, intended for maternity wear, or designed for sports use.

    Hi Jodi and Phil,

thanks for the well thought-out input. I understand where you are coming from ...

The Asia market - a market full of shaping wear (body suits, girdles, etc..) . In order to attract attention, such technical details play a part . It's a case of buying a product that offers slightly more value than the rest . We have also noted that there will not be a big difference but what we are promising is the fabric is more "ventilated" to keep customer dry and cool, rather than instantly lower the body temperature .

In additional, there is not much of R&D effort in this case. It's purely material from the suppliers. We are putting the products together and I am looking for a marketing story to this =))

    Cheers
